Event Safety Vehicle
STAGESAFE are delighted to introduce their new Event Safety Vehicle. The 4 x 4 Jeep Cherokee has a 4 litre automatic engine for maximum power when it's really needed in tough situations and includes a full towing package.
The vehicle and crew must not be considered as an alternative to ambulance, first aid and fire fighting crew from the emergency services; it is simply a supplement.
The vehicle can act as a patrol vehicle for event safety staff during your event but is also designed to act as a rapid response vehicle in any emergency that can be called in instantly by radio to a hazardous situation which can then be evacuated, cleared, contained and made as safe as possible until the full support of the emergency services arrive. Following the emergency, safety staff can then deal with the aftermath and conduct an immediate investigation designed to prevent further or similar incidents thus helping to protect both the organisers, staff, audience and performers. Emergency crews, equipment or casualties can also be transported in the vehicle if required.

The high visibility vehicle is provided with a health and safety officer as driver who is fully qualified in First Aid and is also trained in Fire Safety, the vehicle is equipped with First Aid Kit, emergency and rescue tools, Personal Protective Equipment and clothing, warning beacon, siren, loud hailer, flood lights, hazard marker tape and fire extinguishers etc.
The vehicle and crew can be deployed in a variety of ways:
- Monitoring and searching out potential hazards on the festival site.
- Supply information to the Security Manager, Site Manager the Emergency Services and any other relevant staff or agency of any problems or potential hazards on site.
- Providing escorts and other safety services as required.
- Assist in the response to short-term crowd management problems as required.
- Transport urgently required items around the site as required.

- Keeping unauthorised areas free of tents, camping, vehicles and traders with the aid of safety stewards.
- Monitoring and management of campfires etc and where appropriate arranging corrective action to be taken by event stewards.
- Monitor any potential pinch points for crowd movement and provide initial response to resolve situations.
